Breathing Buildings is a young, rapidly growing Natural Ventilation company based in Cambridge. We are currently seeking a controls engineer to join our project management team.
We are looking for someone who has:-
• A can do attitude with a thirst for
• Strong analytical and problems solving
skills confident with mathematics to at least A-level standard
• Excellent written and verbal communication
skills and is comfortable and confident dealing with internal and
external clients from differing levels of technical background
• Working knowledge of CAD and strong MS
office skills (Excel / Word)
• Experience with programming (C, PLC
structured text / FBD) preferred but not essential
• Experience with electronic design,
manufacture and imbedded hardware with AVR or similar preferred but
• A clean drivers licence
The post will be based in our Cambridge office but will involve
travelling to clients and suppliers and also to building sites
across the UK.

We help engineers and designers to develop low energy buildings; the project engineer makes sure that the designs are translated into a reality.
We care far more about your enthusiasm, ability to help us solve
problems and desire to learn than what you have done in the past,
but there are a few things that you probable need to have:
- Project management experience, preferably in the construction
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Excellent communication skills, written & verbal
- Highly motivated & self starting

Breathing Buildings invites applications from undergraduate engineers seeking the opportunity to undertake a summer internship working in cleantech, sustainable buildings.
The programme lasts 8 weeks over the summer and students
will be working with the engineering team in Cambridge and the
Managing Director, Dr Shaun Fitzgerald. This is an excellent
opportunity to get a real experience of working in the engineering
